Grand Hotel, Isola di Nisida.

Once the home of Brutus and Lucullus, a roman politician, the island is no longer known for hosting greedy parties and receptions like it was done during the Classic Age. Now co-exist on its North shore a military base and a leisure harbour where everyone can lay its bath towel on the rocks while the rest of the island seems to have been put asleep. The project tries to stand on the potential of the natural marina created by the volcanic geometry of the island. The building strives to be the straightest volume to span the steep terrain and attempts to avoid the existing elements standing on that land. The project aims to give back the outlook of the peninsula and the use of the South shore to the public while staying on a precise path and making this new co-existence possible.

Nec sane haec sola pernicies orientem diversis cladibus adfligebat. Namque et Isauri, quibus est usitatum saepe pacari saepeque inopinis excursibus cuncta miscere, ex latrociniis occultis et raris, alente inpunitate adulescentem in peius audaciam ad bella gravia proruperunt, diu quidem perduelles spiritus inrequietis motibus erigentes, hac tamen indignitate perciti vehementer, ut iactitabant, quod eorum capiti quidam consortes apud Iconium Pisidiae oppidum in amphitheatrali spectaculo feris praedatricibus obiecti sunt praeter morem.
