This projet of a new public library addresses the issue of the integration of a public building in a popular district through the urban and architectural promenade.

Taking advantage to the topography of the site, the projet connects two points of the city by creating a shortcut from a low street to a higher one. The ramp, used by all, is therefore a pretext to integrate the projects in its site as well as in the city. The necessarily high-length of the ramp allows it to become a free-form structural element joining the two sides.

As a public building, the library is made to be seen. The books and the sheldings  become an ornament, calling for the onlookers to enter the library.  Once inside, the urban promenade becomes architectural. The building develops many ways of moving as well as it lets the library-user to benefit the multiples opportuinies to experiment the building.

Nec sane haec sola pernicies orientem diversis cladibus adfligebat. Namque et Isauri, quibus est usitatum saepe pacari saepeque inopinis excursibus cuncta miscere, ex latrociniis occultis et raris, alente inpunitate adulescentem in peius audaciam ad bella gravia proruperunt, diu quidem perduelles spiritus inrequietis motibus erigentes, hac tamen indignitate perciti vehementer, ut iactitabant, quod eorum capiti quidam consortes apud Iconium Pisidiae oppidum in amphitheatrali spectaculo feris praedatricibus obiecti sunt praeter morem.
